To create a distinctive sonic identity as part of EE’s rebrand, which would serve as a cornerstone of the brand’s personality. Deliverables included a sonic logo, brand tracks, UI sounds, and motion behaviours.

EE sought a bold and memorable sound to resonate with audiences old and new. Our focus was on giving the sonic identity a human touch, reminding customers that while EE is rooted in technology, its focus is on serving people.

We set out to create a sound that was uplifting, simple and confident, and which had a feeling of forward momentum and human sounds to soften and humanise. The result was a sonic palette that included the likes of “smart dots”, gentle sound design which seamlessly transitions to more assertive tones when paired with specific motion behaviors, to strike a balance between approachable and commanding.

The final sonic identity featured dynamic and versatile sounds that worked across various touchpoints and applications for a consistent brand experience. Bold yet warm, the sound design reinforced EE’s human-centered positioning in the technology landscape and makes a lasting impression.
