We are a music and sound design studio.
Father is a team of composers and sound designers founded by Joe Farley and Freddie Denham Webb. We collaborate with our creative partners to make sound that amplifies emotion, engagement and recall, translating an idea into a tangible piece of music or sound design.
We work with a wide range of clients on sonic branding, user interface audio (UI/X), original music, AR/VR, campaigns, sound design and immersive installations.
Each project gives us an opportunity to push the boundaries of sound and perceptions about how it should be made and used creatively.
We pride ourselves on our versatile approach, whether responding to an existing brief or developing a strategy alongside clients and wider teams. Where possible, we like to enter the creative process as early as possible.
What we do
Background
Our studio team have backgrounds in music production, sound art, advertising, theatre and branding. We understand the potential that sound has and how it can be used optimally in each project we work on.
Point of view
Our creative work is supported by a strategic framework – that means identifying the singular role that sound can play. Sound is its own medium and can express your message differently to visuals – this is a strength we seek to harness.
Studio
We are based in Camberwell, south London, where we work with everything from live instruments to processed audio. We always encourage our clients to visit us during the time that we work together.
