New Venue

The team behind Village Underground has had its plans to build a new arts centre in an old art deco cinema, signed off by Hackney Council. The cinema opened in 1936 and its last screening was in 1984. Village underground want to turn the venue into a space which offers music, theatre, performance art, lectures, talks and more.
